The Great British obsession with the weather is pretty understandable given that October has so far been drier than May this year. But with a large portion of our coaching taking place outdoors through the winter months it is certainly challenging to keep players (and spectators!) warm enough when they’re playing.
Coaches put extra effort and energy into warm ups and drills ever mindful of the fact that their players need to keep moving! All players should remember to wear a hat and maybe even gloves when you first get on court! You might even want to bring a waterproof jacket when it’s wet.
If your club can provide hot drinks (hot choc is always a winner) we encourage people to come in and grab a coffee. The clubhouse is warm and welcoming!
